What this site is
The pages here are written to be read once and returned to: short, plain explanations of paper behaviour, crease vocabulary and a sensible order for learning models. The focus is the craft itself rather than any single book, teacher or supplier.
Who it is for
It is aimed at people taking up paper-folding in Canada, where indoor humidity and paper availability shape day-to-day folding, but the techniques described are the same anywhere. No prior experience is assumed; the foundational folds article starts from the very first crease.
How the content is prepared
Explanations are kept general where exact figures would vary by paper, room and folder. Where outside background is useful, pages link to widely available public references rather than restating them. Images are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under their respective Creative Commons licenses.
Corrections
If something reads wrongly or a recommendation has dated, the contact form on the home page sends a note. Pages carry an "updated" date so it is clear when each was last reviewed.
